Custom PTFE & Non-Metallic Machined Parts

We machine custom parts in PTFE, nylon, POM, PEEK, PVC and other engineering plastics to customer drawings, for sealing, insulation, low-friction and chemical-resistance duties.

Materials and Machining Characteristics

Non-metallic parts are turned, milled or drilled using tooling and feeds suited to the material, so that dimensions and surface finish are held without introducing stress or deformation. The table below gives typical reference options; the exact grade is confirmed on enquiry.

Material / OptionTypical UseNotes
PTFE (virgin / filled)Seals, gaskets, insulatorsLow friction, chemical resistance
POM (acetal)Bushes, gears, wear partsGood dimensional stability
Nylon PA6 / PA66Rollers, guides, spacersTough, wear resistant
PEEKHigh-temperature partsHigh strength and stiffness
Surface / finish: as-machined, polished, annealed, glass-filled grades—Selected to the application

Tolerances and Inspection

Because plastic materials move with temperature and moisture, dimensions are checked in controlled conditions and tolerances are agreed to suit the material. Where required, parts are annealed before final machining to improve stability.

Drawing and Delivery Flow

Enquiries are handled from drawing or sample: we review material, quantities and tolerances, quote, and produce to the agreed specification. Final configuration and quotation are to be confirmed on enquiry.
